Last year well before halloween, a house went up for sale in the neighborhood. Halloween drew near and they placed a life-sized statue of the grim reaper beside the sidewalk to the front door. I couldn't believe it. That thing stayed there until almost Christmas. Then they put it in the basement so that when people toured the house (as we did) they had to be told to keep children away or tell them about the statue. What some people do to "celebrate"! (The house still hasn't sold, the price is almost in half of what it was and it is sitting on 2.3 acres in green hills, an unheard of amount of land here.)
