Went back to a familiar city for a few days, husband attended a conference and we enjoyed a late anniversary trip without kids.
Top pick for dinner...
...and the best ribs you will ever eat!
Too late for the ducks :( but I always marvel at the flowers - still can't figure out how they manage to sneak in and change them out without anyone seeing!
....a little music in the park.....
You know you have been homeschooling too long when your idea of a great trip is spending 2 days in a hotel room with curriculum and a lap top, planning the next school year. Definitely need to do that again sometime!

Just about to do this myself! Our first trip away w/o the kids, over our 14th anniversary....and I plan to take curriculum and just plan away, uninterrupted, while hubby is in his meetings!
You and I would get along oh-so-well.
enjoy! I think really every homeschool mom needs a few of these trips - and yes, we would get along - so hurry up and drag that husband of yours to warmer weather!
That looks like a lovely trip!
I spent Mother's Day morning (home from church with my newborn made for a lovely day) picking out my curriculum for this year. It was fun :)
Michelle M - did you ever get my reply on the wtm boards? I am happy to share what I have done - just figured it was easier by email :)
Better as a tourist, right? We haven't been back in YEARS. Guess it's about time to take the last 2 to Graceland. :)
So glad you had a trip back to that special place. It's pretty special to my hubby and I as we dated there while he lived in Tennessee and I lived in Arkansas. Then after we married in Nashville we began our honeymoon at that hotel! I'm thinking we should go back without children, too! (No homeschool curriculum, but I am taking a curriculum mapping course that is pretty interesting!) God bless you! Margie
Tara - yeah, totally beter as a tourist, we had a blast! We go back about once a year, so, you all are way overdue for a trip - hope all is well with your family!
